Woosa is a fairly popular name in Singapore and it has an interesting range of latex mattresses. In this Mysa mattress review, I talk about their more premium option that promises a hotel-style feel.
All their mattresses are built in Belgium and their range also includes the Woosa Original mattress and the Terra mattress. The Mysa mattress was delivered to me almost two weeks ago so it’s time now to move to the full review below.
This mattress is built with 6 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
A Woosa Cloud Foam layer that gives you a weightless sensation. This type of foam is very breathable.
A Sonocore® Latex foam layer that has bounce and can provide your body with resilient comfort.
A memory foam layer that has excellent pressure-relieving properties.
A transition foam layer that offers deeper levels of comfort.
A micro-coil layer that can improve your spinal alignment.
A BaseCore foam layer that is the base of this mattress and ensures that there is no motion transfer.
The Mysa mattress measures 31cm in height so you should expect a high profile here. In the picture below, you can see the position of each layer.
Does it come with a nice cover?
An interesting thing about all Woosa mattresses is the fact they come with two cover options. The standard one is a microtencel cover that has silver threading. This can reduce odours and add antimicrobial properties. This cover feels soft and you will get a luxurious plush feeling.
If you want to get the second option, you should prepare to spend an extra $300 for the PLUS+ cover. The difference is that this one is made of a different blend that combines microtencel with cooling yarn. Additionally, this is a quilted cover so at the top, you will find an organic cotton layer. This adds extra comfort and gives a hotel-style feel. Finally, the PLUS+ cover is designed to produce low friction so it doesn’t generate heat. This can be important in a climate like the Singaporean one.
Both covers are made in Italy so you should expect high-quality standards. The bad news is that the covers are not machine-washable so you can only spot-clean them when that is needed. Additionally, the lack of side handles is another drawback here which makes it way more difficult to move this mattress. Overall, both covers are of excellent quality but they lack practicality.
How firm is this mattress?
I want to continue writing this Mysa mattress review and talk about its feel. This is a medium-firm option and if I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 6.5 with 10 being really firm. Let’s talk now about my experience with it for the past two weeks.
Lying on my back, the Mysa mattress hugged my hips and shoulders and I felt that I was sleeping on a cloud. I was very comfortable in this position and support was great.
Turning to the side position, sinkage increased and that allowed my spine to align correctly. The mattress was soft enough not to cause any discomfort in the hip and shoulder areas so as a result it was quite comfortable sleeping this way.
Finally, turning to the stomach position, the sleeping surface wasn’t as firm as I would have liked and my hips were not well supported. Overall, I think that this mattress would better suit back and side sleepers.
As for the edge support, it’s decent so you will get in and out of bed with ease. Moreover, the mattress has minimal motion transfer which makes it suitable for couples.
How much will I pay for delivery?
When you buy a Mysa mattress you will get a free delivery service that is relatively fast. That means that you will have your mattress within 1-3 working days. In my case, it was only 2 days and the whole experience was a straightforward one. Communication was great and I was informed about every step of the process. The courier arrived on time and the box was delivered to my doorstep. Just be aware that the Mysa mattress is quite heavy so it would be wise to ask for help before you move it. Overall, they offer a good service here that won’t disappoint.
Moreover, all Mysa mattresses come with a 30-night trial period that allows you to try this mattress at home. If you are not happy with it, you have the right to return it and get your money back. Returns are free and they will arrange everything for you. However, most other makers offer a 100-night trial period so there is definitely some room for improvement here.
Is this an expensive option?
The Mysa mattress is available in 4 sizes so you will probably find the one that suits your needs. The smaller one (Single) goes for $1,949 with the bigger one (King) selling for $2,549. The table below has pricing information for all available sizes.
91 x 190 x 31cm
107 x 190 x 31cm
152 x 190 x 31cm
183 x 190 x 31cm
Should I get the Mysa mattress?
Let’s complete now this Mysa mattress review and share my final thoughts with you. This mattress would be a great option for anyone looking for:
A latex mattress that offers great comfort.
A premium mattress that is built with fantastic materials.
A mattress that comes with a 10-year warranty.
The Terra mattress will satisfy all comfort seekers and it’s a mattress that is built for those who prefer to sleep on their side or back. Moreover, it’s well-built and it comes with a great cooling system. If all of that sounds good to you, don’t hesitate to buy the Mysa mattress.
