In this Peace Lily mattress review, you will find everything you need to know about this premium option. Peace Lily is a company that uses natural latex to create products that are completely free from toxic materials and safe for you and your family.
Natural latex is the main ingredient here and for this reason, they build all their mattresses in Sri Lanka, a country that is known for its excellent quality latex. One of my best friends recently got one so I was really curious to get my hands on it. After spending a whole week sleeping on a Peace Lily mattress, I am ready to write this review.
What is this mattress made of?
The Peace Lily mattress features 3 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- A plush layer made of Dunlop latex with D65 density. This layer measures 5cm in height.
- A core layer made of Dunlop latex with D80 density. This is the thickest of the three layers and it measures 10cm in height.
- A firm layer of Dunlop latex with D75 density. It measures 5cm in height.
As I have already mentioned above, all latex layers are sustainably sourced in Sri Lanka. I also have to mention here that all latex foams are eco-INSTITUT certified which means that they are free from toxic substances. The total height of this mattress is 21cm and the picture below showcases how each layer is positioned.
How good is this cover?
The cover of the Peace Lily mattress is made of 100% organic cotton. They decided to use this material because it’s very breathable which allows the sleeping surface to stay cool during the night. Being organic, this type of cotton is free from harmful pesticides and toxic substances. I need to mention here that this cover is GOTS certified.
The design of the cover is a plain one and it comes with a beige colourway. They went with a neutral colour to reinforce the natural look of this mattress. Moreover, the designers at Peace Lily added 4 side handles that will help you move it when that’s needed. The cover is not removable and if needed, you should spot-clean it with a mild detergent. Overall, this is a high-quality cover that compliments well this mattress.
Is this a firm mattress?
It’s time now to continue with this Peace Lily mattress review and discuss its firmness. During the design process, the engineers at Peace Lily wanted to give customers more options. As a result, this is a flippable mattress that features a side with a medium feel and a side with a firm feel. I mainly prefer firmer mattresses so for this review, I will mostly talk about the firm side. Let’s see now how this mattress performed during the past week.
Starting from the back position, the mattress supported my body and my weight was evenly distributed. Pressure relief was great but this was expected from a latex mattress.
Turning to the side position, sinkage increased but the mattress felt slightly firm for this position. If you are a side sleeper, go for the medium side.
Finally, moving to the stomach position, the mattress did a fantastic job with my hips and shoulders. I was really comfortable in this position and I felt well-supported. The firmer feel is ideal for front sleepers and this is something you should have in mind.
If you share your bed with a partner, the latex layers minimize motion transfer so you can forget about disturbing each other. Moreover, the edge support is average but this didn’t surprise me considering the nature of the Peace Lily mattress.
Does this mattress come with free delivery?
If you decide to buy a Peace Lily mattress, you will get free delivery for all sizes. They offer a fast service so you will have your mattress within 1-3 working days. I live in the central district and in my case, it was 2 working days. The box came in excellent condition and I was well-informed about the whole process. Overall, they offer a great service here so no complaints at all.
Will I have a trial period?
If you feel uncomfortable buying a mattress online, I have good news for you. All Peace Lily mattresses come with a 100-night trial period that gives you more than 3 months to try them and decide later whether you want to keep them or not. If you are not happy with it, you can return it and ask for a full refund. Returns are free and you don’t have to keep the original packaging to be able to do one.
Besides that, the Peace Lily mattress comes with a 25-year warranty which is the longest on the market. This shows that they value their customers but also how confident they are in their products. Overall, this is one of the best packages in Singapore and they did a great job here.
How much will I pay for this mattress?
The Peace Lily mattress is available in 4 sizes so you have a number of options to choose from. The smaller size (Single) will cost you $849 with the bigger one (King) going for $1,499. However, the people at Peace Lily frequently run promotions so with a little patience, you might pay less than the retail prices. The table below has pricing information for all available sizes.
SIZE | DIMENSIONS | PRICE |
Single | 92 x 190 x 21cm | $849 |
Super Single | 107 x 190 x 21cm | $999 |
Queen | 152 x 190 x 21cm | $1,299 |
