Terra Mattress Review

terra mattress review

If you prefer mattresses with a firmer feel, you should definitely read this Terra mattress review. This is the second mattress developed by Woosa and in my opinion, it’s the most interesting one.

After reviewing the Woosa Original mattress, I was keen to get my hands on the Terra mattress. The latter features a foam-only construction, something I expected from this brand. Mine arrived almost a week ago so it’s time now to move to the full review below.

What’s inside this mattress?

The Terra mattress features 5 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:

The mattress measures 30.5cm in height and below, you can see the position of each layer.

Does it come with a nice cover?

Before you buy your Terra mattress, you will be given two cover options. The standard one is a microtencel cover that feels soft and adds a plush feeling. It’s enhanced with silver threading that adds antimicrobial properties and fights odours. If you want to get a better cover, you should prepare to spend an extra $300. For this money, you will upgrade to a PLUS+ cover which is made from microtencel and cooling yarn.

The main difference with the standard one is that this one is a quilted one and includes an organic cotton layer for extra comfort. Additionally, it features a low-friction construction that doesn’t generate extra heat. This can be very important for climates like the Singaporean one.

Both these covers are made in Italy so the quality standards are quite high. Unfortunately, there are no handles on the sides so it can be quite difficult to move it. Another drawback here is that this cover is not machine-washable. That means that you can only spot-clean it with mild detergent. As you understand, both covers have amazing quality but they are not the best choices when it comes to practicality.

Is this a firm mattress?

It’s time to continue writing this Terra mattress review and talk about its feel. This is a firm mattress and if I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s an 8 with 10 being really firm. Let’s talk now about my experience with it during the past week.

Lying on my back, the mattress felt very supportive and that impressed me. My spine was well-aligned and I felt comfortable sleeping this way.

Turning to my side, the mattress was firmer than I would have preferred and I felt that my spinal alignment could have been better. Nothing too bad but other mattresses have done a better job in this position.

Finally, turning to the stomach position, the mattress felt perfect so if you like to sleep this way, this is definitely an option to consider.

Due to the lack of springs, the Terra mattress has minimal motion transfer so you won’t disturb your partner during sleep. Moreover, the edge support is decent but nowhere near the level of a hybrid mattress.

Do they offer free delivery?

One of the things that annoys me the most is paying for delivery. The good news is that all Terra mattresses come with free delivery. Their service is a fast one, so you should expect your mattress within 1-3 days. I got mine within two days and I felt that the whole process was very smooth.

Communication was on point and the courier was prompt and polite. The box will be delivered to your doorstep so you will have to carry it yourselves to the room of your choice. I have to warn you that this is a quite heavy box so make sure you have a second person to help you out. The mattress should be placed inside a well-ventilated room for a day so the smell can dissipate. Overall, I had a nice experience with them so no complaints at all.

Is there a way to try this at home?

If you decide to buy a Terra mattress, you will get a 30-night trial period. That allows you to try this mattress for a whole month and decide later whether you are happy with it or not. In case you are not happy with it, you can return it for free and get your money back. Returns are free and the process is not a complicated one.

Additionally, all Terra mattresses come with a 10-year warranty that will cover you for a long time. Of course, before you buy your mattress, you should always make sure you read the full terms and conditions found on their warranty page.

How expensive is this mattress?

The Terra mattress is available in 4 sizes so you don’t have many options to choose from. The smaller size (Single) sells for $1,649 with the bigger one (King) going for $2,249. The table below has pricing information for all available sizes.

Should I consider the Terra mattress?

It’s time to complete this Terra mattress review and discuss my last thoughts with you. This is a great option for anyone looking for:

This is an interesting option that will be very appealing to all those who prefer a mattress with a firmer feel. It also comes with a great cooling system and it’s built in Belgium so the quality is guaranteed. If all of these sound good, this is a mattress to consider.
