Emma is a mattress giant and they have recently released a new option. In this Emma Zero Gravity mattress review, I discuss this innovative mattress that promises unmatched pressure relief.
This is their third release and their range also includes the Emma Original Hybrid mattress and the Emma Diamond Hybrid mattress. The Zero Gravity mattress is another hybrid option from Emma but this one is a really premium one. Mine was delivered almost two weeks ago so it’s time now to move to the full review below.
What is this mattress made of?
This mattress is made of 5 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- An AirGrid foam layer that is designed to bounce back quickly. This is a breathable type of foam.
- An AeroFoam layer that has the ability to evacuate moisture.
- A MemoryAdapt foam layer that can distribute weight evenly.
- A SupportBase foam layer that can help you fully relax.
- A layer made of pocket springs that is the main source of support. The springs form 7 zones that can adapt to your body.
The mattress measures 25cm in height and the image below gives us a better look at how it looks from the inside. All layers comply with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 so they are free from harmful substances.
Does it have a nice cover?
The cover of this mattress is made of UltraDry fabric that has the ability to regulate heat but at the same time, it allows airflow. It’s made of 99% polyester and 1% elastane. The latter ensures that it has a great fit which is quite important. The good news is that this is a removable cover and you can pop it inside your washing machine.
The design is a modern one and the mattress looks quite premium. On the sides, you will find 4 handles that will help you move it when that is needed. Additionally, at the bottom, there is an anti-slip base layer that can keep it in place. As you see, this is a well-thought design and it’s one of the main reasons that Emma has seen so much success. Overall, this is a fantastic cover that has it all.
How firm is this mattress?
I want to continue writing this Emma Zero Gravity mattress review and discuss its feel. This is another medium-firm mattress from Emma and if I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 6.6 with 10 being really firm. I am ready now to talk about my experience with it in the past two weeks.
Lying on my back, the mattress distributed my weight evenly and that took the pressure off my joints. Support was great and I felt very comfortable in this position.
Turning to the side position, the mattress adjusted quickly and the spring layer helped my spine to align correctly. There was no discomfort in the hip area and sleeping was very comfortable this way.
Finally, moving to the front position, the mattress surprised me and I felt that it did a great job in this position. My shoulders and hips were well-supported and overall, I can say that the Zero Gravity mattress will suit every position.
As for the edge support, the mattress is well-built and the springs do a great job so you will get in and out of bed with ease. Finally, the mattress has minimal motion transfer despite featuring a hybrid design. That makes it a great choice for couples.
Will I pay for delivery?
Paying for delivery in Singapore is quite rare so don’t expect a company like Emma to charge you for delivery. All their mattresses are delivered for free and they offer a relatively fast service. That means that you will have your mattress within 1-3 working days. In my case, it was only two and the process was a straightforward one. I received an email with all the information about my package and on the day of delivery, they texted me my slot. The courier arrived on time and he was very helpful and polite. Overall, I had another excellent experience with them so no complaints at all.
Can I try this at home?
Many people don’t feel very comfortable buying a mattress online and the truth is it’s hard to blame them. The people at Emma want to address that and for this reason, they offer a 200-night trial period that gives you more than 6 months to try this mattress at home. If after some time, you feel that this mattress is not a good fit for you, you can return it and get a full refund. Returns are free and all you have to do is contact their customer service department.
Moreover, all Emma mattresses come with a 10-year warranty which is the standard these days. That means that you are covered for a long time and it shows how much they value their customers. Overall, this is a complete package offered here so no complaints at all.
How much will it cost me?
One of the main drawbacks of this mattress is the fact it’s available in only 2 sizes. The smaller one (Queen) costs $1,899 while the bigger one (King) goes for $2,199. Emma is a brand that runs frequent promotions so keep an eye on my coupon page for all the latest offers.
SIZE | DIMENSIONS | PRICE |
Queen | 150 x 190 x 25cm | $1,899 |
King | 180 x 190 x 25cm | $2,199 |
Is the Emma Zero Gravity mattress a good option?
It’s time now to complete this Emma Zero Gravity mattress review and share my final thoughts with you. I think that this mattress would be a great option for anyone looking for:
- A hybrid mattress that is built for every sleeping position.
- A premium mattress that is built with the latest technology.
- A mattress that comes with a 200-night trial period.
If this package seems right for you then you should definitely consider buying this mattress. Emma managed to make an even more premium here and this is quite hard to ignore. This is probably the best mattress I have reviewed and one I can highly recommend.
